Stephen Roberts Safety Training has been established to support the
chlor-alkali industry and serve the public by fostering continuous improvements to safety
and the protection of human health and the environment connected with the production,
distribution and use of chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, and hydrogen chloride.
SRST strives to meet these obligations by
maintaining a Chlorine / Toxic Gas Safety Training & Consultancy Service that fully meets the needs and expectations of its
customers and the public.
SRST works with government agencies and its
members to encourage the use of proven and established safe practices (HSG28 & HSG40) to enhance safety in
operations involving chlor-alkali chemicals.
SRST believes that chlor-alkali chemicals add
value to society and can be handled and used safely provided personnel have received the
correct training.

Responsible CareŽ is the chemical industry's global voluntary initiative under which companies,
through their national associations, work together to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance.
The Responsible CareŽ ethic helps our industry to operate safely, profitably and with due care for future generations, and was commended
by UNEP as making a significant contribution to sustainable development at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002.
